Travel Discounts

Discounts available

  • 18+ Student Oyster: if you are aged 18+ and a student on eligible full and part time courses, this saves you 30% on adult Travelcards and Bus & Tram Passes valid for seven days, one month or up to a year.
  • 16+ Oyster: if you are aged 16 or 17, live in a London Borough and are in full time education this card gives you free bus and tram travel and child rate on the tube, DLR and trains.
  • 11-15 Oyster: if you are aged 11-15, this card gives you free bus and tram travel and child rate on the tube, DLR and trains. 
  • New Deal photocard: if you are on the Government’s New Deal, you can apply for this and travel at reduced rates in London when looking for work.

Young Person’s Railcard

Costing just £30 for a 1 year Railcard or £70 for a 3 year Railcard, the 16-25 Railcard saves you 1/3 off rail fares across Britain while it is valid. It also allows 1/3 off a London Zones 1-6 Off-peak day travelcard  an Anytime Day Travelcard when bought as part of your journey to London from outside London Zones 1-9.  These discounts can be loaded onto an Oyster card.  If you’re between 16-25, or over 26 and in full-time education, you’re eligible to apply. http://www.16-25railcard.co.uk/eligibility-benefits/what-do-you-get/ 

The Millennial Railcard

Available for those aged 26-30, the Millennial Railcard. It works in the same way as a 16-25 railcard and gives you 1/3 off of travel. 

Two Together Railcard

These give 1/3 off rail fares (excluding morning peak times) for two named people when they travel together. It costs £30 a year.
